Playtime Pastures’ Farm and Harvest Camp is a day camp geared toward 7-12 year olds.  The day camp is run from 9am until 4pm, Monday – Friday.  Mornings are full of work and chores so that afternoons can be full of FUN!  We will feed and care for the animals, plant and water the garden, and make minor repairs around the property, always under proper supervision.  Children will be taught that hard work and dedication is always rewarded; so, after lunch, we’ll spend the rest of the day doing fun activities like hiking, horseback riding, going on hay rides and crafting.  Hayrides to neighboring farms, or field trips (at no additional charge) are always a possibility.

Camp tuition includes all snacks, drinks and lunches for the entire week, making YOUR mornings less hectic!  Stressing the importance of healthy eating (I don’t mean fad diets…I mean, knowing where food comes from), campers will learn basic food prep skills like harvesting veggies from the garden for our lunch salad and making homemade meatballs to top our pasta.  We’ll do things like pick berries and learn how to make preserves, and we might even pickle some cucumbers (if they don’t all get eaten straight out of the garden)!

About a week before camp, you will receive an email with a list of things to bring on the first day of camp (work gloves, flip flops, bathing suit, etc…). Those things can STAY HERE ALL WEEK, in your child’s personal locker.  That way, you don’t have to worry about those items coming back and forth each day.  Remember, I’m a mom too….and I understand how to make camp week easy on YOU!

After a full day on the farm, your child will head home exhausted from work and play (and probably a little grungy).

Weekly tuition is $450/child with a $50 discount for siblings.   A non-refundable $100 deposit per child, per week, is required at time of registration.

Once you have registered your camper(s) please pay the non-refundable $100 deposit (Venmo, Check or Credit Card).  Only when your deposit is received, is your camper’s spot guaranteed.  I will email a confirmation once both the registration and the deposit have been received.
